Pastor

Rev. Wilfred Paul Edwards Jr. is the Pastor of St. James United Methodist Church in New Iberia, Louisiana. He is married to Lisa Sigue Edwards, and together they have three children and three grandchildren.

Raised in a deeply spiritual family, Rev. Edwards was active in the church from an early age, preaching his first sermon as a teenager and later becoming the youngest Lay Leader at St. Peter United Methodist Church. His professional journey in engineering and human resources shaped his leadership and love for people, which he believes God used to prepare him for pastoral ministry. After returning home to Jeanerette, LA and serving in church leadership at St. Peter, he accepted his appointment as Pastor of St. James UMC, where he is grateful to serve and lead God’s people.
